What This Blog is About
I've decided to create this blog because I knew I needed something to hold me accountable. I've been trying to lose weight and get healthy for a while now. I've lost 58 pounds since I had my son, Cason, in April of 2011. Most of that was "baby weight", but I am below my pre-pregnancy weight. I had lost 20 pounds since January of this year, but I've gained a little back since I've been stuck in this rut lately. I couldn't figure out a way to get out of the rut. So I decided to set some goals and make a blog :) My first "mini" goal is to lose 21 pounds by January 4. That's 9 weeks to lose 21 pounds. I think it's pretty doable if I work hard and stick to it (even through the holidays.. yikes!). I will weigh in every Friday morning. My goal for next Friday is to have lost 3 pounds! I know I need to work really hard this week to make that goal. I am going to eat 1400 calories a day in 5-6 small meals and walk/jog 3 miles, 6 times a week! I also want to do some strength training throughout the week because I know muscle helps burn more calories! I am going to have a goal of 3 strength training sessions a week. I'm not sure how often I will blog, but definitely every week so I can report my weigh in's and how my week went. I look forward to reporting back to you!!! Wish me luck for this week!
